1 kg of 1-MCP 3.5% CG shipped to Portugal

Apr 08,2026

This is a 1kg shipment of 1-MCP 3.5% CG for a Portuguese client; it has now been dispatched.

Core Characteristics and Mechanism of Action:

At room temperature, 1-MCP is a colorless gas characterized by high chemical reactivity and significant double-bond strain. Its primary advantage lies in "competitive inhibition":
1. Receptor Preemption:1-MCP binds to ethylene receptors with an affinity far greater than that of ethylene itself (approximately 10 times stronger). Once bound, it does not readily dissociate, thereby creating an irreversible blockade.
2. Dual-Pathway Action: It not only blocks the effects of exogenous (external) ethylene but also inhibits the expression of key genes involved in endogenous (internal) ethylene synthesis within the plant, thereby reducing ethylene production at the source.
3. High Efficacy at Low Doses: It achieves significant results at extremely low concentrations (typically in the ppm range—parts per million). It is non-toxic to humans and animals, leaves no residues, and complies with food safety standards.

Key Application Scenarios:

The application of 1-MCP now spans the entire supply chain, from field management to cold chain logistics:

Fruit and Vegetable Preservation (Core Domain):

Apples and Pears: Significantly extends storage life (up to 8–9 months), effectively prevents physiological disorders such as "superficial scald" and "core breakdown," and preserves fruit firmness and flavor.
Kiwifruit and Bananas: Addresses the challenge of short shelf life by inhibiting post-harvest ripening and softening, thereby expanding transport radii and enabling kiwifruit to be stored until the following year.
Tomatoes and Strawberries: Delays color change and spoilage, minimizes weight loss, and maintains commercial value.
Note: For non-climacteric fruits (such as lychees), the effects are not pronounced; in some cases, it may even accelerate spoilage, requiring cautious application.

Flower Preservation: Delays the senescence (wilting) of cut flowers (e.g., carnations, lilies), preserves petal color and fragrance, and extends vase life.
Reduces flower and fruit drop in potted plants, thereby enhancing their ornamental value.

Agricultural Stress Resistance:

Under conditions of drought or low temperature, it enhances the water-retention capacity and cold tolerance of crops (e.g., cotton, wheat), thereby mitigating physiological disorders.

Which Pests Does Emamectin Benzoate Control, and at Which Pest Life Stages Should It Be Applied?

Emamectin Benzoate is characterized by its high efficacy, broad spectrum, low toxicity, lack of side effects, and low propensity for inducing resistance. It is widely used for the control of various pests affecting vegetables, fruit trees, and cotton crops—including the cotton bollworm, beet armyworm, oriental armyworm, diamondback moth, cabbage worm, armyworm, and stem borer.
