2-(3-Chlorophenoxy)-propionic acid (3-CPA)

3-CPA technical grade has a slightly phenolic odor, a melting point of 114°C, and the pure product is a colorless and odorless crystalline powder with a melting point of 117.5–118.1°C. It is non-volatile at room temperature. It is a plant growth regulator of aryloxyalkylane acids, which can increase the size of pineapple fruits.
