Product Properties:
Ethephon is a plant growth regulator that promotes plant ripening and senescence. Upon contact with water, ethephon decomposes to release ethylene; the primary function of ethylene is to accelerate fruit ripening, enabling immature fruit to ripen more quickly. It can be used to induce ripening in bananas.
Precautions:
1. Do not mix this product with other products to avoid decomposition and loss of efficacy. For indoor use only.
2. Do not wash application equipment in bodies of water such as rivers or ponds. Do not discharge wash water into such bodies of water.
3. Take appropriate safety precautions when using this product: wear boots, long-sleeved shirts, long trousers, protective gloves, eye protection, and a mask; avoid direct contact with skin and eyes, and prevent inhalation. Do not smoke, drink, or eat during use. After use, promptly wash exposed skin (such as hands and face) with plenty of soap and water, and change clothes.
4. Properly dispose of used containers; do not reuse them for other purposes or discard them indiscriminately.
5. Keep out of reach of children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers. Do not use if allergic; seek medical attention immediately if any adverse reactions occur during use.
Storage and Transportation:
Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area protected from rain, and keep away from sources of fire or heat. Keep locked and out of reach of children, unauthorized personnel, and animals. Do not store or transport together with food, beverages, grain, or animal feed.
