Tricyclazole 75%WP

Tricyclazole is a triazole fungicide characterized by strong systemic activity; it is rapidly absorbed by the roots, stems, and leaves of rice plants and translocated throughout the entire plant, thereby effectively preventing pathogen invasion and reducing the production of rice blast spores.
CAS NO.: 41814-78-2

Tricyclazole is a thiazole fungicide that mainly works by inhibiting the formation of melanin in appressorium spores of rice blast fungus, thus blocking the invasion process and being used to control rice blast.

CAS NO.: 41814-78-2

Fomulation: 95%TC,75%WP

Product features:

1. Unique Mechanism of Action: It primarily works by inhibiting the formation of melanin in rice blast fungus. Melanin is essential for the fungus to penetrate rice cell walls and establish infection. Tricyclazole is rapidly absorbed by rice roots, stems, and leaves and transported upwards, forming a protective layer within the plant to prevent the invasion and spread of the fungus.

2. Prevention is Key: Its therapeutic effect is weak; it must be applied before or at the early stage of fungal infection to achieve optimal results. Therefore, it is positioned as an excellent preventative fungicide.

3. Long-Lasting Effect: It has good systemic properties and is resistant to rain washout; a single application typically maintains a protective effect for 10-14 days.

4. High Efficiency and Specificity: It is highly effective against rice blast (including seedling blast, leaf blast, and neck blast) and is one of the core fungicides for rice blast control globally. However, it is largely ineffective against other diseases.

Applicable Crop:

Control of Seedling Blight

Application Period: Rice seedling stage (especially late seedbed stage and before transplanting).

Application Method:

Seedling Soaking Treatment: This is the most classic and effective method. Before transplanting, bundle the seedlings and soak them in a 750-fold dilution of 20% tricyclazole wettable powder for about 1 minute, then pile them up and let them sit for half an hour before transplanting. This method allows the pesticide to be concentrated on the seedlings and carried into the field, providing early protection.

Seedbed Spraying: Spray preventatively when disease centers are found in the seedlings or before rainy weather.

Control of Leaf Blight

Application Period: Rice tillering stage, when disease centers or acute lesions appear in the field, or when climatic conditions (continuous rain, low sunlight, high humidity) are extremely favorable for disease development.

Application Method

Immediately apply 20-30 grams of 75% tricyclazole wettable powder per acre, diluted with water and sprayed evenly. Focus on spraying the upper and middle leaves of the plant.

Key Point: It is essential to apply the pesticide before or at the initial stage of disease outbreak. If the leaves are already severely withered, further application of pesticides will have minimal effect.

Control of Neck Blight (Most Critical!)

Application Timing: This is the most important application scenario for tricyclazole, directly impacting the final yield. Control is crucial during the "heading stage."

First Application (Early Heading Stage): Apply when approximately 5% of the main panicles have emerged (headed). This is the most critical period for preventing pathogen infection of the panicle neck (branch).

Second Application (Heading Stage): If weather conditions remain unfavorable (rainy) during the heading stage, a second application should be made at the heading stage (after 80% of the panicles have emerged) to consolidate the effect.

Application Method: Use 25-30 grams of 75% tricyclazole wettable powder per acre, diluted with water, and spray primarily on the panicle area.

Importance: Neck blast directly leads to white panicles and empty grains, having the greatest impact on yield. Therefore, this application is a core measure for "yield protection."

CropsTargetDosage Usage Method
RiceRice blast20-27g/667m²Spray

Technical Application Requirements:

1. Apply 20–30 grams of this product per mu, diluted uniformly in 40 kilograms of water, using a spray application. Ensure the spraying is even and perform the operation downwind.

2. Optimal timing for control: For the control of rice neck blast, the first application should be performed no later than 3 days after the panicle emergence stage.

3. Do not apply the product during strong winds or if rainfall is expected within one hour.

4. The safety interval for rice is 21 days; do not apply more than twice per season.
