Product Performance:
Ethylicin is a plant-mimetic fungicide characterized by rapid action and systemic activity (including translocation within the plant); it is highly effective against both fungal and bacterial diseases. It is used to control rice *Bakanae* disease (foolish seedling disease). Its fungicidal mechanism involves the reaction of the (S-S=O) group in its molecular structure with -SH (sulfhydryl) groups in the pathogen's molecules, thereby inhibiting the pathogen's normal metabolism. It also stimulates plant growth and improves seedling quality.
Application Instructions:
1. To control rice seedling rot: Soak seeds before sowing; remove the seeds once they have fully absorbed water and proceed directly to germination. 2. To control rice *Bakanae* disease: Soak seeds before sowing, using 1.2 liters of prepared solution per kilogram of seed. Soak the seeds in the prepared solution prior to germination—soak for 2–3 days in the Yangtze River Basin and 5–7 days in Northeast China—before proceeding to germination and sowing. 3. Maximum of one application per season on rice.
