Product Details
Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole insecticide with a broad spectrum of activity. Its primary stomach-toxic effect is also associated with contact and some systemic activity. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit chloride metabolism, which is controlled by insects' gamma-aminobutyric acid. Consequently, it has high insecticide activity against important pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, lepidopteran larvae, flies, and coleoptera, while being harmless to crops. This agent can be applied to the soil or as a foliar spray. Soil application is effective against corn root beetles, wireworms, and cutworms. Foliar spraying provides high levels of control against the diamondback moth, cabbage butterfly, and rice thrips, with a long-lasting effect.
