Product Overview
2-(3-Chlorophenoxy)propionic acid—commonly known as 3-CPA or Cloprop—is a synthetic auxin-type plant growth regulator (PGR). It functions to regulate fruit development, minimize physiological fruit drop, and optimize the harvest window. By modulating hormonal balance, 3-CPA directs nutrient flow, thereby promoting fruit enlargement and strengthening root systems.

Agricultural Applications of 3-CPA:
- It stimulates cell expansion, thereby increasing individual fruit weight and total harvest yield.
- It enhances the fruit-setting rate and significantly reduces physiological fruit drop prior to harvest.
- It is particularly effective in inhibiting the growth of pineapple crown buds and preventing excessive leaf elongation, thereby concentrating nutrient delivery to the fruit. Specific application method: Approximately 15 weeks prior to harvest (i.e., after the final batch of flowers has withered and the crown has elongated to 3–5 cm), 3-CPA should be applied as a spray to the tips of the pineapple crowns at a dosage of 240–700 g/ha (diluted in water) to achieve the objective of delaying fruit maturation.
