Physicochemical properties:
Isopentenyladenine is a mixture containing isopentenyladenine and hydroxyisopentenyladenine, produced via microbial fermentation. The melting point of pure hydroxyisopentenyladenine is 209–213°C, and that of pure isopentenyladenine is 216.4–217.5°C. It is soluble in methanol and ethanol, but insoluble in water and acetone. It is stable when stored at room temperature.
Toxicity: Low toxicity
