Physicochemical Properties

Odorless white solid. The technical material is yellow to reddish-brown liquid at 30℃, and a slightly sweet solid solution at 20℃. Melting point: 36℃; Boiling point: >270℃; Density: 1.215 g/cm³ (20℃).Solubility (g/L, 25℃): Water solubility 1.1 (pH3.5), 2.8 (pH4.9), 10.2 (pH5.5), 21.1 (pH8.2). Miscible with ethanol, acetone, toluene and n-octanol; solubility in n-hexane is 5% (25℃).Thermally stable before boiling point; stable to hydrolysis and photolysis at pH 6~7 (25℃); unstable under alkaline conditions.

Functional Characteristics

Trinexapac-ethyl belongs to cyclohexanecarboxylic acid plant growth regulators. Similar to prohexadione calcium, it mainly inhibits the β-hydroxylation reaction in the gibberellic acid synthesis process, reduces the gibberellic acid level in plants and slows down plant growth.

It inhibits internode elongation and reduces plant height, increases stem diameter and stem wall thickness, promotes root development and the growth and elongation of adventitious roots. It makes crops grow more robust and plays an anti-lodging role.

Application Technology

Wheat

At the early jointing stage, apply 5~10 g of active ingredient per mu. It can reduce plant height, increase stem thickness, reduce wheat lodging and increase yield.

Sugarcane

At the early tillering stage, spray by aerial application with 1 g of active ingredient per mu after mixing with water. It can promote tillering, increase effective stems and raise yield. Combined with 0.75 mg brassinolide, it shows a significant synergistic effect on various indicators and yield increase.

Turf

Soak turf seeds with 150~200 mg/L trinexapac-ethyl solution for 12 hours. It does not affect the final germination rate, but slows down turf growth rate, increases individual tillers and chlorophyll content, and enhances seedling stress resistance.

Foliar spray with 300~500 mg/L trinexapac-ethyl solution 1~3 days after mowing. It can inhibit the upright growth of turf grass, reduce mowing frequency, significantly improve turf stress resistance and turf quality.
