Application of Regulators for Apple Blossom and Fruit Thinning
The fruit setting rate of "Jinguan" apples sprayed with 20 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid on 14 days after full bloom decreased by 40.5% compared with the control. Under normal circumstances, naphthalene acetic acid is used for fruit thinning in apple trees. For early-maturing varieties, it should be controlled within 10 days after full bloom, and the effective thinning period for medium-ripening and late-maturing varieties is 10-15 days. The spraying concentration depends on the apple variety. Usually, 5-10 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid is sprayed on apples such as "Zaoxu", "Hongyu", "Xu", "Chilong" and "Wojin", while "Jinguan" is sprayed with 5-10 mg/L NAAA. It is advisable to spray 10-20 mg/L, and it is suitable for "flower wedding" with strong habit of fruiting in the next year; the spraying concentration should be controlled at 15-20 mg/L.
Use caution, do not use naphthalene acetic acid as the "Marshal" and "Red Star" apple fruit thinning agent, so as to avoid the growth of young fruit being inhibited to form small fruit and loss of edible value; It is best for early-maturing varieties to be sprayed at the petal drop stage. If sprayed 10 days after full bloom, it is easy to cause the fruit to fail to reach the desired maturity, resulting in early maturity and fruit cracking;Fruit thinning agents should not be used for apple orchards with insufficient light due to frost damage, poor soil drainage, nitrogen deficiency and high degree of dense planting.
1-Naphthylacetamide
Naphthalene acetamide is a milder apple fruit thinning agent than naphthalene acetic acid. For some early-maturing varieties such as "Huangkui" and "Zaoxu", which are susceptible to phytotoxicity when sprayed with naphthalene acetic acid during the valve drop stage, and the use of naphthalene acetic acid for treatment For apples that are prone to excessive fruit thinning, it is better to use naphthalene acetamide instead. The use of naphthalene acetamide in the early stage of apple growth can play a role in thinning fruit, and in the later stage of growth, it can play a role in preventing fruit drop. The use of naphthalene acetamide to thin the fruit should be carried out within 10 days after the flowering of apples for early-maturing varieties, and it is best to spray at the petal drop stage. The effective spraying time for mid-ripening and late-ripening apple varieties is 10-25 d after full bloom. The spraying concentration can be determined according to the apple tree species. For varieties such as "Hongyu", "Zaoxu", "Xu", "Chilong" and "Japanese Jin", the spraying concentration is 25-50 mg/L. If the weather is warm, sunny and windless, 50 mg/L can be sprayed.
It should be noted that naphthalene acetamide cannot be used in "Marshal" and "Red Star" apples as a fruit thinning agent, because naphthalene acetamide has a longer action time and is more likely to cause small fruit than naphthalene acetic acid. it is good.To master the spraying time and spraying concentration of naphthalene acetamide, it is not suitable to use naphthalene acetamide in orchards with a lack of fertilizer, water and a high degree of dense planting.
Carbaryl
Carbaryl is an insecticide, which has a good effect on the control of leaf rollers and heartworms, and is also a relatively safe fruit thinning agent for apples. The use of carbaryl should be carried out 7-25 days after full bloom, and the concentration can be determined according to the apple variety. Generally, "Marshal" variety is sprayed with 300-1000 mg/L carboxylate 7-25 days after full bloom, and "Golden Crown" variety is sprayed on 7-25 days after full bloom. It can be sprayed with 1200-1800 mg/L liquid medicine at 7-25 days after flowering, and "Guoguang" and "Hongyu" varieties can be sprayed with 600-700 mg/L liquid medicine at 10-15 days after flowering.
Attention should be paid to the use of carbamide for apple varieties with strong fruiting habits in the next year, and the spraying concentration needs to be increased; when leaf rollers and heartworms need to be controlled at the same time, the pest control and spraying can be carried out according to the appropriate period of fruit thinning. Concentration control; For fruit trees with many short branches, it is not suitable to use carbaryl; in apple orchards where carbamide is applied, bees should not be stocked during the flowering period to avoid bee poisoning.
Carbine and Naphthalene Acetic Acid
For apple fruit thinning, it should be sprayed 10 days after the petals fall off, and the fruit thinning time is slightly earlier than the physiological fruit drop period. The spray concentration can be sprayed with 750 mg/L carbamoyl and 10 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid.
50 mg/L and 100 mg/L 6-BA were sprayed on the fruit of "Gala" and "Jinguan" at 9-10 mm, which had the effect of thinning flowers and fruits, and could increase the rate of first-class fruit and the amount of flowers in the following year.
