Gibberellic acid (GA3)

 Taking 3-year-old Prunus chinensis as the test material, different concentrations of GA3 were sprayed on the shoots 7 days after flowering to study its effects on the fruit setting and fruit quality of Prunus chinensis in Changbai Mountain. The results showed that: GA3 had a certain promoting effect on improving the fruit setting rate and fruit quality of Prunus chinensis in Changbai Mountain. Among them, the treatment effect of 25mg/kg and 50mg/kg concentration was better, the fruit setting rate was increased by nearly 10%, and the sugar content was high. Compared with the control, the amount and the ratio of sugar and acid increased significantly, especially spraying 50mg/kg GA3 7d after flowering had the best effect. However, high concentration of gibberellic acid will aggravate the pre-harvest fruit drop of Changbai Mountain Plum.

Ethephon

In late September, spraying 100mg/L ethephon on the red heart plum tree could delay flowering for 3 days in the coming year, and the fruit setting rate was significantly increased by 18.7%, compared with 8.2% in the control. Spraying 100mg/L ethephon in autumn is an effective measure to delay the flowering period, reduce the chilling injury in spring and improve the fruit setting rate of plum
