It is suitable for 5-year-old trees that are not in production with vigorous growth, juvenile trees that have entered the fruiting period, mature trees with a small number of vigorous growth and fruitless trees. Generally, soil application and foliar spraying can be used.
①Soil application can be from October to March next year, with November being the best. Each plant should be diluted with soil or fine sand with 0.1-0.5g of paclobutrazol, and then evenly removed under the canopy and then covered with soil, which can effectively inhibit the growth of spring shoots and roots in the following year. Growth rate depends on tree vigor and variety. For the varieties with weak tree vigor ("Shuimei"), apply 0.1g per square meter of active ingredients, for medium tree vigor ("water chestnuts" bayberry, "deep red" bayberry) use 0.15-0.25g, for strong tree vigor ("Donghuai" bayberry) use 0.4-0.5g.
②When foliar spraying is used, spray 1000mgL of liquid medicine when unfruitful vigorous trees grow to less than 5cm in spring or summer or before flower bud differentiation, which can effectively inhibit the growth of new shoots, reduce nutrient consumption, and promote Flower bud differentiation, improve fruit set rate and stress resistance.
