Application of Plant Growth Regulators to Promote Rooting in Magnolia Cuttings

IBA-NAA Rooting Powder
IBA-NAA rooting powder significantly promotes rooting in softwood cuttings of *Magnolia liliiflora* (purple magnolia). Treating cuttings with a 100 mg/L solution for 12 hours prior to planting yields a high rooting rate.
Naphthaleneacetic Acid (NAA) and Indole-3-butyric Acid (IBA)
Treatment with these regulators effectively promotes rooting in *Magnolia liliiflora* softwood cuttings. IBA and NAA show comparable efficacy; in both cases, low-concentration, long-duration soaking is optimal. The regulator concentration should be maintained between 100 and 200 mg/L. The process is best carried out between May and July, with humidity kept above 85% and temperatures controlled between 25°C and 28°C.
