Zucchini Fruit Setting & Expansion Boost

Thidiazuron
After transplanting and seedling establishment, remove the first and second "root melons" (the earliest fruits formed at the base) to ensure robust growth; for weak seedlings, remove the third root melon as well. Once subsequent fruitlets emerge, spray with a 1 mg/L thidiazuron solution to promote fruit setting.
2,4-D
Apply a 10–20 mg/L 2,4-D solution to the zucchini flower stalks to prevent flower drop and increase yield. (Note: During this period, increase light intensity in the greenhouse by frequently cleaning dust off the plastic film, uncovering early and covering late, and hanging reflective screens on the north side. Generally, do not water or fertilize between seedling establishment and fruit setting; instead, focus on promoting root and vine development.)
p-Chlorophenoxyacetic acid (4-CPA)
Apply a 30–40 mg/L PCPA solution in a ring around the base of the style on open female flowers to significantly increase the fruit-setting rate.
2,4-D and Gibberellic Acid
Apply a mixture containing 20–30 mg/L 2,4-D, 20–30 mg/L gibberellic acid, and 0.1% procymidone (Sumisclex) wettable powder. This not only improves fruit retention and stimulates fruit growth but also prevents gray mold. Take care to avoid applying the solution to stems or leaves, as this can cause leaf damage; do not exceed the recommended concentration range, or malformed fruits or fruit abortion may occur.
6-BA
Apply a 100 mg/L 6-BA solution to the fruit stalk one day before or on the day of flowering to promote fruit setting. Spraying the entire plant with a 5 mg/L NAA (naphthaleneacetic acid) solution during the flowering stage prevents flower and fruit drop, promotes robust plant growth, and helps prevent viral diseases.
Gibberellic Acid
After the zucchini fruit has set, apply a 30–50 mg/L gibberellic acid solution to the fruit stalk to promote the growth of the young fruit.
