Pyrimethanil belongs to the phenylaminopyrimidine class of fungicides and is highly effective against gray mold. Its fungicidal mechanism is unique; it inhibits the secretion of pathogen-infecting enzymes, thereby preventing infection and killing the pathogen. It has both protective and curative effects, as well as systemic and fumigant action. It is used to control gray mold and wilt diseases in crops such as cucumbers, tomatoes, grapes, strawberries, peas, and leeks, as well as black spot and leaf spot diseases in fruit trees.
