Imidacloprid is a nitromethylene systemic insecticide, a chlorinated nicotinoid insecticide, also known as a neonicotinoid insecticide, with a chemical formula of C9H10ClN5O2. It has a broad spectrum, high efficiency, low toxicity, and low residue. Pests are not likely to develop resistance to it, and it has multiple effects, such as contact killing, stomach poisoning, and systemic absorption. When pests come into contact with the agent, the normal conduction of the central nervous system is blocked, causing them to become paralyzed and die. The product has a good, rapid effect, with a high protective effect one day after application, and a residual period of up to about 25 days. The efficacy of the drug is positively correlated with temperature. The higher the temperature, the better the insecticidal effect. It is mainly used to control piercing-sucking mouthpart pests.
