Physicochemical Properties:
The pure product is a colorless solid with a melting point of 41.4°C. Solubility in water at 25°C is 89 mg/L; solubility in organic solvents (such as alcohols and aromatic hydrocarbons) is 100 g/L. It is miscible with alcohols, aromatic hydrocarbons, and most organic solvents, and undergoes slow hydrolysis in acidic or alkaline media.

Main Formulations:
99% Chlorpropham technical grade; 2.5% Chlorpropham powder; 49.65% and 50% Chlorpropham thermal fogging agents.
Functional Characteristics:
Chlorpropham can be absorbed by the coleoptiles, roots, and leaves of grass weeds, as well as by the skin and eyes (buds) of potato tubers. It strongly inhibits β-amylase activity, suppresses plant RNA and protein synthesis, interferes with oxidative phosphorylation and photosynthesis, and disrupts cell division. As a plant growth regulator, it serves to inhibit and delay potato sprouting.
