Daminozide
Spraying with 2.5% daminozide 24–56 days after bud formation can extend the vase life of cut chrysanthemums by 5 days.
Penicillin
Pre-harvest spraying with penicillin significantly extends the vase life of cut chrysanthemums. A concentration of 400 mg/L yields the best results, achieving an average vase life of 18 days and producing more vibrant petal color.
6-BA
A solution containing 5% sucrose, 8-hydroxyquinoline (50 mg/L), citric acid (150 mg/L), and 6-BA (10 mg/L) significantly extends the vase life of fresh-cut chrysanthemums, markedly improves their water status, and enhances their ornamental quality.
Chlormequat
Treating China asters (*Callistephus chinensis*) with a preservative solution containing 60 g/L sucrose, 250 mg/L 8-hydroxyquinoline citrate, 70 mg/L chlormequat, and 50 mg/L silver nitrate can extend their vase life threefold.
