Using a base preservative solution containing 100 mg/L paclobutrazol, combined with a pretreatment of 328 mg/L silver thiosulfate, yields the best results for preserving cut peony flowers.
6-BA
Incorporating 6-BA into the vase solution (20 g/L sucrose + 200 mg/L 8-hydroxyquinoline citrate + 0.2 mg/L 6-BA) enhances the water uptake capacity of cut peonies during the vase period, reduces MDA content and relative membrane permeability, increases POD activity, and extends vase life.
