Why Do Pepper Plants Grow Slowly and Develop Yellow Leaves After Transplanting?
Yellowing and leaf drop shortly after transplanting may occur during the transplant recovery period.
The first 7 days after transplanting are generally considered the transplant recovery period for pepper seedlings. During transplanting, part of the root system may be damaged, temporarily reducing the plant's ability to absorb water and nutrients.

At this stage, much of the energy stored in the plant is allocated to root regeneration and growing points. As a result, the leaves may turn yellow or fall due to insufficient energy supply.
Therefore, pepper seedlings should preferably be transplanted with the root ball and surrounding soil intact to minimize root damage and help the plants recover more quickly after transplanting.
